Why You Are Less Happy Than a Jellyfish

People live in colonies. What we have in the United States resembles a society less than the individual organisms that make up a jellyfish.

No wonder people are so unhappy.

A colony is a unit of organisms that have an interest in preserving, maintaining, and growing the colony. In the United States, it is unclear (1) who is part of the colony, (2) what growth for the colony would mean, and (3) if the colony should even exist. This last is the most concerning—this dissent about if the members of the colony do something to preserve itself, or allow itself to die.

This is why people are less happy than a jellyfish. With all of our brains, we seem to lack the wisdom that even a jellyfish has to promote wellness amongst ourselves.
